A mais alta cachoeira do sul da África, a Maletsunyane, tem 196 metros e cai de uma só vez. É quase 2 vezes a altura da Victoria Falls e é chamada de “Lugar da Fumaça” devido à névoa criada pela água que cai. Localizada em Lesoto, na cidade de Semonkong, a cachoeira pode ser visitada em trilhas feitas com pôneis saindo de Malealea a oeste ou de Molimo Nthuse ao norte.
The highest waterfall in Southern Africa, the Maletsunyane Falls, is 196 meters high and falls in a single drop. It is nearly twice as high as Victoria Falls and is called ‘The Place of Smoke’ after the characteristic haze created by the waterfall plummeting into the gorge. Located in Lesotho, near the town of Semonkong, the fall can be visited on pony-trekking trails from both Malealea to the West and Molimo Nthuse to the North.
